The Mindful Living Project.....Courses in Meditation, Mindfulness-Based Pain Management and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Our mindfulness training courses fuse ancient philosophies with modern psychology and neuroscience. We offer simple and accessible instruction in a variety of classes and techniques - fundamentals of mindfulness and meditation, pain and stress reduction, breath attention, daily mindful exercises as well as mindful movement.
Through a variety of formal practices and inquiries, our carefully developed programs will guide you in cultivating present moment awareness. Present moment awareness is key to developing greater clarity, helping you to recognize negative patterns of reactivity, conditioned behavior and unproductive thoughts. The techniques employed are secular and compatible with any faith tradition.
We are particularly glad to offer Breathworks® courses. Breathworks® Mindfulness for Health and Mindfulness for Stress courses have been extensively researched proving consistent positive outcomes. These courses are taught by thoroughly trained accredited mindfulness teachers. Breathworks programs are a development of Mindfulness-Based-Stress Reduction (MBSR - originally developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT - developed by Zindel Segal, Mark Williams and John Teasdale).
